Community at the International Fest Canada Tour

Presented by MIR Héritage

Home › Community

The International Fest Canada Tour is a celebration of the food, music and cultures of the communities who call this country home. It is also somewhere families can get something they need.

Our community programmes are presented by MIR Héritage, one of the festival's three co-presenters, alongside Crescent Events Co. and TriCity Bazaar.

🎁 Every registered child gets a gift

Register your child in advance and they will receive a gift from us at the festival.

Registration is free, takes about two minutes, and nobody is asked to prove anything — no questions about income, no forms about your circumstances, and nobody is turned away for not qualifying.

How it works

  1. 1Register each child online — you'll need their first name and age
  2. 2You'll get a ticket by email with a QR code
  3. 3Bring it on your phone on the day
  4. 4Visit the MIR Héritage table and we'll scan it and hand over the gift

Places are limited by the number of gifts available and more are released each week. If your child's age group is full today, please check back.

Want to donate a gift instead? Bring a new, unwrapped gift in its original packaging to the collection point at the door. Gifts for ages 13–17 are the ones most needed — every collection fills up with toys for little ones, and teenagers are the ones left over.

💬 The Community Wellbeing Table

All weekend, both days, in several languages.

MIR Héritage will have a table with clear, practical information on mental health support, employment insurance, and housing help — and people who can point you toward the right service.

No forms. No registration. No names taken. You can take a brochure and walk away, or sit down and talk. Both are fine.

Untreated mental health difficulty is one of the most common reasons people lose work, and losing work is one of the most common reasons people lose housing. In many communities these things aren't talked about, so help is asked for late. The table exists so that information is in front of people who would never go looking for it.

If you are in crisis, please call or text 988, Canada's Suicide Crisis Helpline, available 24 hours a day.
